The Jesus Way – Agape Love and the Reflections of the RosaryIn the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.—Section I: The Agape Love of Jesus“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.†– John 15:13Agape is the divine, self-sacrificing love. It is unconditional, total, and eternal. It is the love of Jesus. He was the only person ever born for the explicit purpose of dying. His entire life was a journey to the Cross. Every word, miracle, and gesture pointed to that final moment of surrender where Agape love was poured out without reserve. He did not fear death—He embraced it out of love for us.—Section II: The Way of Self-Contempt and Charity“Whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.†– Matthew 16:25- Jesus calls us to contempt of self, not in hatred, but in the recognition that all that is good in us comes from Him.- To live Agape is to lose ourselves in Him—our will, our reputation, our comfort.- The true soul of Christ embraces charity for others, especially the most undeserving.Jesus invites us to reject the maxims of the world:- “Save yourself†– but Jesus gave Himself.- “Protect your name†– but Jesus was stripped and mocked.- “Seek comfort†– but Jesus chose the Cross. He says, “Be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.†(Matthew 5:48) – not by human standards, but by divine love.—Section III: The Last Words of Jesus on the CrossEach of His final seven words burns with divine purpose:1. “Father, forgive them.†– Total mercy, even for His executioners.2. “Today you will be with Me in Paradise.†– Agape seeks to save even a thief in his final breath.3. “Woman, behold your son.†– He gives us Mary, the Queen of Agape.4. “My God, why have You forsaken Me?†– He feels the weight of every abandoned soul.5. “I thirst.†– For souls, for love, for your response.6. “It is finished.†– Redemption completed. The price of Agape paid in full.7. “Father, into Your hands I commend My spirit.†– The final surrender of love.—Section IV: The Lance, the Wound, the GiftEven after death, He was pierced—by us, for us. And what did He give? Blood and water.“One of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately there came out blood and water.†– John 19:34- Blood – The price of redemption, poured in the Eucharist.- Water – The cleansing of Baptism, the grace of new life. This is the birth of the Church—the bride from the side of the New Adam.“They shall look on Him whom they have pierced.†– Zechariah 12:10He died loving. He died giving. He died bleeding grace.—Final PrayerJesus, Agape incarnate, teach me to love as You love. Let me die to myself daily, in contempt of pride and pursuit of souls. May I thirst as You thirst—for the salvation of all. Pierce my heart as Yours was pierced. Let blood and water flow from me for others, as it did from You.Mary, Mother of Agape, form me into a living image of Your Son.Amen.
