### **Finding Strength in Weakness: My Journey with Jesus’ Voice and the Thorn in the Flesh**
Have you ever felt overwhelmed by suffering—physical pain, mental struggles, or spiritual dryness—and wondered how to find hope in the midst of it all? I have walked this path intimately, and through God’s grace, I have discovered a profound truth: in our weakness, God’s power shines most brightly.
For years, I endured back pain, spondylitis, and the ongoing challenge of bipolar disorder. These were not just difficulties but my “thorn in the flesh,” a persistent trial Paul speaks about in his second letter to the Corinthians:
_”But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”_ (2 Corinthians 12:9)
This thorn humbled me and drew me closer to Jesus, who began to speak to me in an intimate way throughout my daily life. It was a gift I did not expect—but it required surrender. Only when I fully gave everything into His hands could I hear His voice clearly and find peace amidst suffering.
My spiritual journey deepened through daily Mass and Eucharistic Adoration, praying the Holy Rosary, and meditating on the Divine Mercy Chaplet. The Word of God became my spiritual sword, offering strength and guidance through every trial.
I have also sought to share this grace by writing reflections and testimonies on my website, trusting that even one soul touched is a fruit of God’s mercy.
If you are facing trials today, I invite you to consider this: what do you hold on to that might be preventing full surrender? What thorn can you offer to Jesus as a gift, allowing His power to work through your weakness?
Let us pray together:
“Lord, grant me grace to surrender my burdens to You, to listen to Your voice, and to find strength in my weakness. Help me to trust that Your power is perfected when I am fragile. Amen.”
Remember, you are not alone. God’s grace is sufficient, and His love is unfailing.
