# Living in Peace and Joy: A Time Together with the Bible
Hello and welcome!

Life often feels busy, noisy, and full of challenges. Sometimes, we long deeply for **peace** and **joy** that lasts—not just fleeting moments, but a true calm and happiness rooted in God.

Today, I invite you to join me for a special time “Together with the Bible” — a moment to pause, reflect, and discover God’s promise of peace and joy through His Word.

## Let’s Pause and Reflect

Take a moment to think about a time when you truly felt peaceful or joyful. What helped you experience that?

No need to write anything—just quietly think or speak honestly to yourself. When you are ready, keep reading.

## Our Bible Reading

Here are comforting words from the Bible—let them sink deeply into your heart:

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27)
“Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.” (Philippians 4:4)
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)
Pause here for a moment. If any phrase stands out, hold it in your heart. If you wonder what it means, feel free to revisit or ask.

## What Speaks to You?

Which promise or phrase touches you most deeply? Is it the peace that Jesus gives? The call to rejoice always? Or the encouragement to pray without anxiety?

Take a quiet moment to notice what rises within you.

## Reflect a Little Deeper

Here are some thoughts to ponder:

– How is the peace Jesus offers different from the world’s kind of peace?

– Why do you think the apostle Paul urges us to rejoice, even during hard times?

– How can prayer and thanksgiving change the way we face worry?

– What does it mean for God’s peace to “guard our hearts and minds”?

– What is one practical way you could live out these promises in your daily life?

Remember, these are for your heart—no pressure to write them down unless you want to.

## A Simple Prayer Guide

If you feel like it, you can pray gently about:

– Asking God for the gift of His peace to quiet your fears.

– Growing in joy, even when life feels tough.

– Finding strength to pray and thank God every day.

Your prayers can be spoken aloud, whispered, or simply held silently in your heart.

## A Challenge for This Week

Try this simple practice:

**Each day, pause for a moment. Take a breath, say a brief prayer of thanks, and open your heart to God’s peace and joy in the small moments.**

You might be surprised how these little pauses can refresh your soul.

## Remember This Verse

Keep close this promise from Jesus:

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27)
Come back to it whenever you need calm or courage.

## Encouragement to You

Thank you for spending this time together with the Bible today. It’s a step toward deepening God’s peace and joy in your life.

Consider making this a regular moment—a sacred pause with Scripture—whether alone or with others. And feel free to share this time with family or friends so they too can experience God’s peace.

May God bless you richly with His peace and joy!
