# **Being a Light in Darkness: Living with Jesus’ Light Every Day**

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, filled with uncertainties and challenges that seem like darkness closing in. But as followers of Christ, we carry a powerful truth: **Jesus is the light who has overcome all darkness**.

Matthew 5:14 reminds us,

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.”

This means that by hosting Jesus in our hearts and lives, we become visible beacons of hope, guiding others away from fear and despair.

Even when walking through the toughest moments—“the valley of the shadow of death” as Psalms 23:4 so beautifully puts it—we do not have to fear evil because God’s presence is our comfort and protection.

Living as a light means embracing opportunities each day to share kindness, encouragement, and love. Small acts, inspired by faith, push back darkness and remind people they are not alone.

**Here are some gentle ways to let God’s light shine through you:**

– Invite God’s presence into every moment, especially when fear or doubt arises.

– Look for simple chances to brighten someone’s day with a kind word or supportive action.

– Trust that God uses your faithfulness, even in small things, to make a difference in the world.

Being a light in darkness is both a comfort and a calling—a journey of faith that transforms lives, starting with your own.

**How can you shine God’s light in your world this week?**

May you walk boldly in His light and bring hope wherever you go.
