The Triumph and Rejection of Divine Love:
A Eucharistic Path to Salvation

From the writings of St. Alphonsus de Liguori, with reflections for the modern soul on grace, judgment, the Eucharist, and eternal love.

Introduction:
“Jesus looked at him and loved him… but he went away sad.” (Mark 10:21–22)

This blog series is born from deep prayer and Eucharistic sorrow. It journeys through the timeless teachings of St. Alphonsus de Liguori in his work Attaining Salvation, enriched by living reflections on the state of the Church, the tragedy of religious indifference, and the rejection of divine love today.

Each chapter opens a wound. Each reflection seeks healing. Together, they form a path of reparation and renewal—a path to salvation.

CHAPTER 11 – On the Abuse of Divine Mercy
“Do not delay conversion. Mercy is not an excuse—it is a gift.”

Too many souls presume they’ll repent later. But the hour of death is hidden. Mercy calls today. Tomorrow may not come.

Reflection:
Mercy is being trampled underfoot. Grace is delayed. Love is rejected. Wake up, O soul!

CHAPTER 12 – On the Number of Sins
“There is a limit to God’s patience—known only to Him.”

Each repeated sin is a step toward the abyss. Many fall because they delay grace one time too many.

Reflection:
We cannot gamble with eternity. How many sins have already hardened your heart?

CHAPTER 13 – On the Love of God
“To love God is the beginning of Heaven.”

Love is proven by obedience, detachment, and fidelity. God deserves everything—not because we must, but because He is worthy.

Reflection:
Love is not sentiment. It is surrender. It is Jesus crucified in you.

CHAPTER 14 – On the Love of Jesus Christ
“He gave everything for you. What have you given Him?”

The Passion is the sermon of divine love. The Eucharist is His Heart offered daily. But few respond with love.

Reflection:
After Communion, how many souls walk away… like Judas?

CHAPTER 15 – On the Certainty of Death
“Be ready—for you know not the hour.”

The soul that dies in grace is saved. But that grace must be guarded, protected, and nourished. Every day.

Reflection:
Live today as if it were your last. One day, it will be.

Eucharistic Reflections from a Soul in Love with Jesus

— On Religious Indifference —
“The greatest sin today is indifference. Many are lost. Few care.”

Jesus is not rejected with hate—but with apathy. That is the wound He cannot bear.

— On the Parable of the Sower —
“Three out of four hearts reject grace.”

Jesus sows Himself. Most hearts offer thorns, stones, or noise. Be the soil that breaks open and bears fruit.

— On the Rejection of Jesus in the Eucharist —
“He is treated like a dead object after Communion.”

Love offers Himself. We turn away, scroll phones, chat, or forget Him. This is the silent Passion after every Mass.

— On Predestination —
“God knows the hour. You choose how to die.”

Predestination is not fatalism. It is the divine mystery where freedom and grace meet. God chooses—but He does not force.

— On the Rich Man Who Walked Away Sad —
“He wanted Jesus… but not enough.”

He couldn’t give Jesus his heart. His wealth owned him. He is the only man in Scripture who walked away sad.

Final Exhortation:
Jesus is still looking at you and loving you. Don’t walk away.

Give Him your heart. Let Him transform it. Let Him love you into eternity.

Closing Prayer:
“Jesus, You gave everything for me. I give You my heart—my life, my death, my eternity. Make me Yours. O Mary, never let me leave the foot of the Cross.”
